Sir Peter Blake MERC leads our national coordination, hosts and delivers events, provides financial and in-kind support and is dedicated to helping Seaweek continue to thrive and grow.
Financial support from Foundation North, Rātā Foundation and the New Zealand National Commission for UNESCO enabled us to deliver a vast programme of events in 2025. Foundation North has been a long time supporter of Seaweek in Auckland and Northland since 2011. Rātā Foundation has supported events at the top of the South Island since 2024, and the New Zealand National Commission for UNESCO has supported our Ngā Kōrero webinar and event series since 2021, enabling us to offer more year-round opportunities to engage with Seaweek.
