Art exhibition by Kaikoura resident Dani Spencer

Featuring photographs from Darren Creighton, Michaela Vanickova and Haylee Tehuia-Claxton, and highlighting local wildlife and the organisations working to protect it.

Artist Dani Spencer studied Biology and Conservation & Resource Management at university, since then the protection of our environment has been close to her heart. For this exhibition she created a collection of bold acrylic paintings, watercolour paintings and photographs showcasing the Kaikoura seascape.

 Kaikoura’s sense of community shines through in the many organisations passionate to protect its unique environment, many of which are not often seen by the everyday visitor. These pieces are dedicated to raise awareness for some of the organisations working on Kaikoura’s wildlife protection and research. She hopes that you take away a sense of gratitude for our local environment and some ideas for positive actions to make part of your daily life.

This exhibition also features photographs from talented Kaikoura photographers; Darren Creighton Michaela Vanickova and Haylee Tehuia-Claxton. Showing their unique perspective of the local environment and species.
