Love Rimurimu is planning a seaweed festival, and you’re invited!
Our seaweeds are under threat, but out of sight and out of mind for most. Love Rimurimu wants to put them in the spotlight- providing different ways to engage with our wonderful rimurimu.
They’re calling upon the seaweed-keen community to grow this festival with us, either by running events/activities, partnering up to make the festival happen, or.... something else!? They want to co-ordinate a broad programme of events and activities during March 2025, to give our seaweeds the attention they deserve!
How to get involved:
Run an event/ activity: Do you have a rimurumu workshop/ exhibition/ talk/ film screening/ gig/ kai offering/ education programme/ creative project etc (we welcome all ideas!) that you'd love to make part of the festival? Let them know by completing this Expression of Interest form
Support the festival: They are seeking support in the form of funding, partnership, sponsorship, venue support, and the like! Please let us know if you might be able to contribute to making this festival happen by emailing events@mtsw.org.nz
