SeaMERC Day!

28th February to 28th February, 10am-4:30pm

Celebrate Seaweek at MERC!

Join us on the 28th of February for Sir Peter Blake MERC’s 9th annual Sea MERC Day! We have an exciting day planned filled with water activities, beach and rocky shore exploration, ocean science activities, marine education, food and fun! We will be exploring the ocean-human connection through recreation, learning and celebration at this FREE, family friendly event!

Water session slots are limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Paddling options could include our Giant Stand Up Paddleboard (GSUP) and/or kayaks depending on weather conditions. Activity sessions will start at 10am, 11am, 12:30pm, 1:30pm and 2:30pm.

There will be snacks provided and a lunch break at 12:30 with a variety of options available for purchase or you can bring your own!

In the afternoon we will have hands-on marine science activities and experts on hand to deepen understanding of the many ways humans and the ocean are interconnected.

Participants of all ages and experience levels are encouraged to join in! Register for FREE to attend the event in advance, then sign up for the activities you’re interested in once you get here! Be sure to bring your togs, towel, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, sturdy shoes that can get wet and a reusable drink bottle – we can’t wait to see you there!
