Join us for a hands-on exploration of research methods used to study coastal marine ecosystems followed by speakers highlighting citizen science initiatives and key issues facing our coasts including climate change and invasive species. Build new skills or deepen your existing knowledge and find out about more ways you can get involved!

10 April, 6pm-8pm, Sir Peter Blake Marine Education & Recreation Centre

What to expect

- Meet like-minded people.   
- Participate in a citizen science workshop including learning coastal data collection methods, using iNaturalist app, and practicing identifying biosecurity species. 
- Hear from experts on topics affecting our ocean and coastal ecosystems now and into the future: Presentation by Clinton Duffy and panel Q&A.  
- Best suited for ages 14 and up.

What to bring

- Mobile device with the iNaturalist app, for iOS users we recommend the iNaturalist Next app.
- All other equipment will be provided.
