Sunnyhills Going Gold Enviro Team

We’re a group of Year 4, 5 & 6’s who meet once a week to research, plan and take action for our school and local environment. Some highlights this year have been gaining GreenGold Enviroschools status, raising money for pest traps, growing veges and planting 600 trees.

Junior Ocean Challenge name: Marine Metre Squared in Farm Cove

Challenge description: We’re concerned about the health of our local marine environment in Farm Cove. We’re tracking the plant and animal life in the Tamaki Estuary by taking part in the Marine Metre Squared citizen science project. It’s pretty muddy down there!!
