We are a group of year 7 & 8 (age 12) students who have been working to explore the values and features of marine biodiversity, and sustainability.

Junior Ocean Challenge name: Kaiteriteri Amazing Race

Challenge description: Tiakina o Tātou Mōana – Care for our Seas”. We would like to champion developing awareness and the values of sustainable futures for the Kaiteriteri environment. The Amazing Race will have stations in and around the area, where a 25 minute discussion, activity, and thinking will take place at the station. Then the group will navigate their way around the area to the next station. Brooklyn would like to host these stations, sharing their knowledge and understandings as well as having a number of specialists available. The Race will be populated with teams from schools from around our region.
